Domestic Traffic Specialist


Location: Rosemont, IL

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and develop methods for domestic/North American transportation of raw materials to processing and production facilities, and of finished goods from factories/distribution centers to customers and other storage facilities.
  • Responsible for handling all complaints against domestic carriers.
  • Analyze reports on monthly domestic freight spend, shipment volumes and carrier performances to provide recommendations for cost/time improvements.
  • Manage initial domestic/North American transportation related issues, especially expediting orders, locating misdirected freight, and authorizing freight quotes.
  • Manage relationship between freight companies and third party freight processor, and CASS Bank on domestic freight issues including authorization of freight bill rejects and past due freight bills.
  • Accountable for all loss and damage claims and all associated documentation and reports.
  • Responsible for input and maintenance of rates within Logpro system and shipping lanes within published routing guides.
  • Audit and maintain all domestic traffic files, freight bills, and contracts in the department.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to think critically, troubleshoot, and problem solve.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to take initiative.
  • Good computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

International Traffic Specialist


Location: Rosemont, IL

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and develop methods for international transportation of raw materials to factories, of buyouts to distribution centers, and of finished goods from factories and distribution centers to international customers.
  • Responsible for handling complaints against carriers for all international shipments.
  • Analyze reports on monthly international freight spending, customs duty spending and carrier performances to provide recommendations for cost/time improvements.
  • Manage initial international transportation-related issues (especially freight quotes, special air freight auctions, and tariff code/country of origin inquiries.
  • Manage relationship between freight companies and third party freight processor, CASS Bank, on international freight issues, including authorization of freight bill rejects, International Shipment Detail forms, and past due freight bills.
  • Accountable for smooth transit of import and export shipments.
  • Responsible for creation of publication of international transportation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Audit and maintain all international traffic files, including customs documents, NAFTA certificates, and freight bills.

 

Requirements:

Product Marketing Manager


Location:

Responsibilities:

  • Introduce new products by developing product specifications and forecasts, tracking product development schedule and justifying the investment required to develop and rollout the product.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects in select product lines, including supporting sales initiatives and profit targets, plant moves, outsourcing, product line consolidation and rationalization, etc.
  • Support internal and field personnel with all product line questions including product applications, suitability, substitutions, and installations according to the code requirements.
  • On an annual basis, present a comprehensive five-year product line strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage a set of purchased direct material commodities for EGS.
  • Plan and implement long-term commodity strategy, cost reduction projects, inflation containment/forecasting, new product source selection/price negotiation, long term agreements, and supplier consolidation and outsourcing on a global basis.
  • Satisfy needs of internal customers including 15+ factories and division staff.  Interact with Emerson Corp. Procurement as needed.

 

Requirements:
